What does the eSIM do?
The purpose of the eSIM is the same as that of the SIM card: the identification of individual users in a mobile network. Your mobile phone provider can use the eSIM to track whether and for which services you have registered in their network and which specific services you are purchasing.
The eSIM thus allows the provider to bill for the services provided and you to dial into the provider's network.
